About The Daily Wail
Some people think the internet lowers the general standard of debate…
On the web, they claim, anyone can say anything about anything they like – knowing little or nothing about it – and traditional values are thrown away on the altar of nonsense.
Non-sense [non-sens, suh ns] Origin 1647 non+sense
1. Words or language having little or no sense or meaning
2. Conduct, action, etc., that is senseless, foolish, or absurd: to have tolerated enough nonsense.
3. Impudent, insubordinate, or otherwise objectionable behavior: He doesn’t have to take that nonsense from you.
4. Something absurd or fatuous: the utter nonsense of such a suggestion.
5. Anything of trifling importance or of little or no use.
We spent a couple of years thinking about this. And we couldn’t work out why nonsense was such a bad thing. The word ‘life’ seems to also be explained by the definition above.
And lo, it came to pass. Plato we ain’t. But if the internet is a reflection of nonsense it must also be a reflection of life.
Life is VERY annoying. It makes no sense. It makes you want to laugh, cry and above all, scream.
The Daily Wail was born.
Enjoy.
